The 2021 National Women’s Football Championship began its Development Stage for teams who could not reach quarterfinals at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground today on Friday, 26 March.
Group A’s bottom team Hazara Quetta Football Academy edged Group C’s bottom team Young Rising Stars Layyah 1-0 thanks to a lone goal from Farzana Ghulam Nabi. HQFA now face Mohsen Gilani WFC on 29 March in Development Stage’s quarterfinal.
The other pre-quarterfinal of Development Stage saw Sialkot City WFC ease past MUK FC 2-0 thanks goals in each half from Alizay Asad and Fatima Shahzad. Sialkot City now face FC Karachi in Development Stage quarterfinal on 29 March.
The actual quarterfinals of NWFC 2021 will be held on 28 March seeing all four matches take place at KMC Stadium and KPT Stadium.
