The Karachi United Football Foundation (KUFF) 6-a-side U14 Football Cup was won by KUFF Lyari Centre when they beat hosts KUFF Old Golimar Centre 3-1 in the final at the Old Golimar Stadium in Trans-Lyari, Karachi. Two goals from Saeed and one from Ubaid helped overcome Old Golimar who had only Fahad’s goal on their name.
Lyari Centre’s Saeed Baloch was given man of the final award, KUFF North Nazimabad Centre’s Ali Raza was player of the tournament, and Old Golimar’s Rahat was best goalkeeper. The final was attended by former Old Golimar nazim Akram Memon.
The 18 team knock out tournament saw Lyari Centre beat North Nazimabad Centre on penalties 4-3 in semis, while Old Golimar Centre beat Hasrat Mohani Football Academy 3-0.

Ameer Sardar, vice-president of DFA West and former UC Nazim, became the latest victim of another ‘target killing’ violence in Karachi when he was shot dead by unknown persons. DFA West administration held an emergency meeting at its Old Golimar office where they condemned the murder of its noted official and demanded that justice be done.
Ameer Sardar was noted for being a renowned football personality and social activist. DFA West officials offered their condolences to the late Ameer Sardar’s family. DFA West vice president’s Dr Abdul Hameed Baloch, Rehmat Baloch, members Iqbal Minhas, Muhammad Ali Baloch, Raza Khan, treasurer Yousaf Khan, DFRA West chairman attended the session.
