AFC “C” Certificate Coaching Course for Women-2011, under Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), concluded today morning at Football House, Lahore with Director Development & Competition, Wing. Cmdr ® Pervaiz Saeed Mir grace the occasion as chief guest. PFF’s, Director Member Associates & Projects, Lt. Col. ® Farasat Ali Shah was present on this occasion.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, “The participants were lucky to learn from top Instructor over two-weeks and they will have to transfer their knowledge for the promotion and development of women football in Pakistan. To strengthen the women football is in the PFF President’s Faisal Saleh Hayat’s long-term planning and women coaches will play vital role in this regard. The 14-day Course under AFC Instructor U. F. Tariq Lutfi will enable the eighteen (18) women to take this challenge.” said Mir.
U.F. Tariq Lutfi, who ran the Course from 26th December-2011 to 8thJanuary, 2012, Kiran Ilyas, Assistant Instructor, Mr. Naveed Butt, Referee Instructor and Mr. Arif Siddique, Course Coordinator, assisted the Lutfi.
The participants were;
Jamila Arif, Ambreen Hameed, Nadeem Munzoor, Arifa Sheikh, Qurat ul Ain Hameed, Samia Ishaq, Naila Rani, Nadia Bhatti, Zanib Mushtaq, Amber Nazir, Riffat Shabbir, Nazia Naz, Zoobia Latif, Rubina Shaheen, Tahira Akram, Saba Aziz, Shahida Kausar and Fouzia Saeed.
The AFC ‘C’ Certificate Coaching course aims at training coaches and developing their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the coaches to organise, direct and conduct basic coaching practices targeting especially young players. The course lasts 13 days and requires a minimum of 85 hours of study time for both the practical and theoretical sessions. In the final examination, students will be assessed on their practical coaching abilities, knowledge of the laws of the game, in addition to learning and understanding of the theory contents of football.
