The Karachi District Malir Football Championship is scheduled to begin on 7 Oct 2011 under the auspices of DFA Malir. The championship matches will take place simultaneously on the grounds of Korangi Baloch, Gul Baloch, Al-Shazad (Jam Kunda), and Shafi XI with 4 PM kick-offs.
The opening fixture of the championship will take place between Pakistan Premier League side PIA and a DFA Malir side at Korangi Baloch Stadium in Sharafi with a 4 PM kick-off. Sindh Pronvincial Govt adviser for sports Haleem Adil Sheikh will be chief guest for the tournament’s inauguration on 7 Oct with actual commencement taking place of 10 Oct. DFA Malir president Fateh Muhammad Baloch, secretary Shahid Taj, and other members of DFA Malir congress shall be part of the championship organising committee.
A total of 84 teams have confirmed their participation in the Malir Championship, with format being 12 groups of 7 teams each. After an initial knock-out round, the top 3 teams from each group shall qualify to 2nd round. Last year’s finalists All Brothers and Korangi Baloch as well as the best team from 1st round have been given a bye to Round 2 this year.

The All-Karachi Founders of Baloch Mujahid Memorial Cup saw the result of two games at Baloch Mujahid Stadium in Ibrahim Hyderi, Karachi yesterday 4 Oct 2011. Bilal Friends (Korangi) beat Young Boys (Malir) 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick by Ghulam Rasool, while Shakeel Ahmed scored for Young Boys. Sharafi Mohammedan beat Lyari Brothers 2-1 with goals from Mehmood and Abdul Hameed, while Sabir Ali scored for Lyari Brothers. Referees were Iqrar Hussain, Ejaz Hussain, Saleem Raja, M Kamran, M Ilyas, and match commissioner Master Ghulam Rasool.
Both winning sides qualified for next round. On Thursday 6 Oct 2011, Baloch Union (DFA West) face Sharafi Mohammedan (Malir).

The All-Karachi Ada Sher Muhammad Memorial Tournament, hosted by Pak Baloch FC (Garden West), restarted after a long delay with the results of 3 games. Young Bilal beat Gizri Star 2-0 with goals from striker M Irshad. Karachi Mohammedan (Lyari) beat Baloch Star (DFA Central) 5-1. Majid Hussain and Musa scored twice and Zahid scored once for winning side, while Bilal scored for losing side. Khyber Muslim (Baldia) beat Babul Sports (Lyari) 5-3 on penalties after 0-0 draw at end of normal time.
On Thursday, Gharib Shah Union face Noorani Sports (Old Golimar).
