KARACHI: It was a day of little action yesterday 16 Oct 2011 in the Pakistan Premier Football League. PEL were held by PIA 1-1 in Quetta while Navy played out a goal-less draw with PMC Athletico at Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Pel took the lead in the 20th minute through Tahir Khan as they led 1-0 against PIA at the interval. However, PIA managed to draw level in the last minute of the match as Shakir Lashari found the net, denying strugglers PEL a precious win.
The result leaves PIA in second place with 33 points, just four behind league leaders KRL, while PEL lie at the bottom of the table with seven after 16 matches. Navy and PMC Athletico both have 11 points each, with Navy playing 14 games and PMC playing 18 games so far
