The 7th HBL Karachi United Schools Championship 2011-12 saw the completion of its group stage matches today, 7 January 2012. The final group game saw St. Patrick’s High School hammer St. Michael’s High School 6-1 to top Group ‘D’.
A hat-trick (4th in the KUSC 2011-12) from captain Ahmed Baig (16′, 52′ & 59′), and further goals from Umar Younas 22′, Muzammil Fazal 27′ and Abbas Gauhar 33′ helped St Pats record this emphatic win. Sohail Panhwar 44′ pk managed a lone goal for St. Michael’s. Referees were Babar Khan, Ch. Sarfraz, and Mumtaz Baloch, with match commissioner Abdul Karim.
The result completed the Quarter-Finals line-up for KUSC 2011-12. Nixor College and Karachi Grammar School qualified from Group ‘A’, The City School PAF and Southshore School from Group ‘B’, Lyceum School and Commecs College from Group ‘C’, and St. Patrick’s and Aga Khan Higher Secondary School from Group ‘D’.
