The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has formally directed all affiliated units to organize District Football Championships this year.
In a letter dated 19 May, written by PFF COO Shahid Niaz Khokhar, all District Football Associations (DFAs) nationwide, including regional associations of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJKFA), Gilgit-Baltistan (GBFA), and Islamabad (IFA), are required to organize District Championships in 2026.
The PFF letter gave a timeframe for all District Championships to be held between 1 July and 30 September, and under compliance of FIFA, AFC and PFF regulations.
The federation further stated that all registered clubs must participate in their affiliated district championships to maintain active status and voting eligibility. DFAs have also been instructed to submit complete report of their District Championship obligations to the PFF by 10 October 2026.
PFF also warned that any non-compliance with the directive may lead to disciplinary or administrative action under federation regulations.
