LAHORE  –  Newly elected Vice Presidents of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Hafiz Zakaullah, Naveed Aslam Lodhi and Dr Muhammad Ali, have collectively affirmed their commitment to transparency, reconciliation, and the inclusive growth of football across all regions of Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of PFF President Mohsen Gilani.

Following the successful completion of the long-awaited PFF elections, the federation’s new leadership has set its sights on national recovery and the re-establishment of football as a vibrant and unifying force in the country.

Vice President Hafiz Zakaullah highlighted the PFF’s vision of collaboration and inclusivity. “Under President Mohsen Gilani, we are determined to unite all football stakeholders – players, coaches, referees, technical staff, and regional associations. Our immediate goal is national reconciliation, which is central to our strategy for revitalising football in Pakistan.”

Vice President Naveed Aslam Lodhi praised the efforts of FIFA-appointed Normalisation Committee for steering the electoral process to its conclusion. “With democratic structures now in place both provincially and nationally, we can begin the process of rebuilding what was lost. InshaAllah, our collective efforts will restore the momentum that Pakistan football has been deprived of over the past decade.”

He added that the new administration is focused on creating sustainable systems and ensuring continuity in football development, from grassroots to elite levels.

Dr Muhammad Ali, the third Vice President, emphasised the need for balanced provincial representation and grassroots empowerment. “Pakistan’s footballing progress has been stagnant since 2015. To move forward, we must ensure that all provinces have equal opportunities to contribute and excel.”

He lauded Balochistan’s unprecedented representation, with three members each in the Executive Committee and Congress, as a landmark achievement and a testament to the Federation’s commitment to genuine inclusion.

Dr. Muhammad Ali also acknowledged the instrumental role of the Pakistan Football Connect program, initiated by the Normalisation Committee, in streamlining the electoral process and enabling active participation by individuals with authentic footballing credentials. “This digital platform ensured that real football stakeholders were part of the decision-making process, laying the foundation for a truly democratic and merit-based system.”
