LAHORE/KARACHI: Lyallpur FC (Faisalabad) beat Wohaib FC (Lahore), Karachi United (KU) defeated Pak-Afghan Clearing Agency (PACA Chaman) and Baloch FC (Quetta) thrashed Jeay Lal FC (Thatta) in the Pakistan Football Federation League ‘B’ Division Final Round on Thursday.
It was Zahid of Baloch FC who stole the limelight on the day with four goals against Jeay Lal to thrash the latter 7-1 in the Club Leg fixture at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore.
Zahid scored in the 50th, 60th, 70th and 85th minute marks while Fateh Mohammad also scored two goals in the 22nd and 56th minutes. Mohammad Noor (16) scored the remaining goal. For Jeay Lal, the solitary goal was scored by Mohammad Fasih in the 43rd minute.
In the other Club Leg fixture, Rehan Munir’s 40th minute strike was enough for Lyallpur to ensure three points for themselves against Wohaib, for whom it was the third loss in a row.
At the Drigh Union Football Stadium in Karachi, it was Karachi United who ended up as winners thanks to an 88th minute header by Amir from a corner in a neck and neck Departmental Leg encounter.
Both teams came close at several occasions throughout the match but the three points belonged to KU at the end.
On Friday, Young Ittefaq FC face Humma FC in the Club Leg match in Lahore while in the Departmental Leg match in Karachi, Gwadar Port Authority will play Pakistan Railways.
