KARACHI: The Ministry of Interior is likely to issue NOCs for the two Nigerian players whom K-Electric has hired for the Pakistan Premier Football League currently in operation at different venues of the country.
“We have contacted the Interior Ministry and hope it will issue NOCs on Monday which will help us get the services of the Nigerian footballers,” K-Electric Sports Manager Zabe Khan told ‘The News’ here on Friday.
He said that the Interior Ministry was expected to send the NOCs directly to Pakistan’s embassy in Nigeria.
“If the ministry sends it by post then it will take time. But we are trying to expedite the process as we need the services of the players urgently and would like to have them by next Thursday for our vital game against Army,” the official said.
Oludeyi Abayomi Sunday and midfielder Wilson are expected to play a key role for K-Electric in the league which has this season only 12 outfits, four less from last year.
Striker Sunday was part of the K-Electric side last season. He did a marvelous job for the second-place finishers. His techniques and approach to the game impressed the experts. K-Electric have three points from three games so far in the marathon.
