KARACHI: Bahrain’s ISA Town FC on Saturday signed Pakistani defender Mohammad Ahmed for a term of one year.
The WAPDA player, who is currently in Bahrain with Pakistan team, formally joined the club on Friday.
Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) Consultant Marketing Naved Haider told this correspondent from Manama that Ahmed would return home with the team on Sunday (today) and would join the Bahraini club after the Asian Games to be held in Korea next month.
Naved said that Ahmed would be given $2000 per month besides other facilities during his association with the club.
He is the fourth Pakistani footballer to be signed by a foreign club this year. The country’s star striker Kaleemullah, winger Mohammad Adil and midfielder Saddam Hussain are already playing for Kyrgyzstan’s top club Dordoi Bishkek.
