Pakistan and Ballerup Skovlunde Fodbold defender Yaqoob Butt is reportedly being courted by Thailand 1st Division side Roi Et United in a multi-million Baht deal that could materialize in the next few weeks.
According to reports, the versatile centre-back has been the radar of the White Squirrels for quite sometime and a deal is expected soon as the player goes on trial to Thailand on January 14th, which if successful will see him sign for the club.
Roi Et United’s manager Jakarat Tonhongsa confirmed the interest and revealed that the side would be happy to acquire his services if he impresses during the trial period.
“We have not seen Yaqoob’s style of play, which is why we are inviting him for a trial on 14th January. If he passes us the trial and impresses, we will be happy to sign a contract with him,” said the former Thai International while talking to Smmonline.net.
Yaqoob himself though has remained coy on the matter and did not reveal any specific details about the proposed transfer.
