Former Pakistani international midfielder, and one of founder member of PMC Athletico Faisalabad, has announced that he has signed for Total Football Academy FC in Loughton, near London (UK), as a manager and coach of the academy’s Under-9 team.
Sarfraz Rasool officially joined TFA’s Loughton branch this past Thursday, 26 July 2012.
While talking exclusively to FPDC, Sarfraz Rasool expressed his delight from London on getting such a great chance to earn coaching experience at grassroots level.
“Its honor for me to coaching U9s team will increase my skills and experiance in this field. The beautiful game Football wil always remain my passion. From PMC Athletico Faisalabad to national team and now love for this game always increase, and never comes down. I ask all football fans in Pakistan for to pray for me in acheiving success at this opportunity. ”
Ever since quitting playing and moving to UK to settle down, Sarfraz Rasool has not stayed away from football. He also now has FA Level Two coaching certification which is equal to UEFA C Licence.
The goal-scoring midfielder was in PMC Athletico’s squad in last Pakisan Premier League season of 2011 and was a regular stalwart in Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) in the early 2000s.
Sarfraz won the Golden Boot at 2003 SAFF Cup with 4 goals, and was named Asian Football Confederation Player of the Month for his performance in SAFF Cup held in March 2003.
