KARACHI: The Pakistan under-22 football team will leave for Bahrain for a practice tour on June 9, on their way to participate in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) under-22 Championship qualifiers that will start from June 23 in Saudi Arabia.
The team will play two practice matches on June 11 and 12 against the Bahraini national team with the Pakistan Football Federation Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi saying that the federation was trying to facilitate the team in all possible ways to ensure a good performance in the Championship qualifiers.
He also added that these tours will help the players gain international experience.
Pakistan is placed in group B of the AFC under-22 Championship qualifiers, along with Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine and Sri Lanka.
