The 2012 All-Karachi Engro Vopak Football League saw Young Tughlaq (Lyari) completely outclass Irfan Memorial (Landhi) 4-0 today 15 Feb 2012 at Jam Stadium, Malir (Karachi). Young Tughlaq earned 3 precious points with this win in Group A as they shocked their more illustrious rivals from Landhi with a comprehensive win.
The match began at frantic pace as both sides went back and forth to score, but Young Tughlaq’s Adil Ahmed made it 1-0 before half time from a Muhammad Saeed pass after 36 minutes. The 2nd half saw Young Tughlaq maintain pressure as they scored thrice more to win 4-0 in the end. Adil Ahmed scored his and his side’s 2nd of the game when he converted a pass from Abdul Zohair in 67th minute after missing numerous chances before.
Saddam Hussain made it 3-0 from a Zohaib Ahmed pass in 77th minute before Zohaib himself making it 4-0 in 86th minute. Adil Ahmed could have completed his hat-trick 6 minutes previously but he failed to find the back of the net after he rounded Irfan Memorial keeper Kamran. Adil Ahmed was given MOTM award for his superb performance. Irfan Memorial failed to take their chances as they came close to scoring many times.
Referees were Anser Javed, Shaukat Ali, Babar Khan, 4th official Arif Hameed, and match commissioner Abdul Karim.
