The 9th UBL Omni Karachi United Football League 2011-12 saw Burma Mohammadan (Korangi) confirm a place in the quarter-finals stage with a 2-0 win over Frontier City (Banaras) today 15 Feb 2012.
Burma Mohammadan dominated the game at the Trans-Lyari Football Ground in Old Golimar, Karachi and could have beaten Frontier City with a margin much greater than 2-0 as M Idris, Saif Ullah, M Imran, and M Jaffar came close to scoring. Muhammad Idris scored after 21 minutes from a Muhammad Ishaq pass, before a Saif Ullah header made it 2-0 early in 2nd half from a M Imran cross.
Frontier City tried to reduce the deficit but M Yousaf, Shahid Khan, and Jehanzeb Khan failed to beat the superb Burma Mohammadan ex-international goalkeeper Abdul Ghani in the game. The match finished 2-0 in favour of Burma Mohammadan in the end. The result left Burma Mohammadan on 16 points from 7 games while Frontier City remained on 0 after 7 games.
