Korangi Baloch maintained their fine form in the 9th UBL Omni Karachi United Football League 2011-12 (KUFL) as they trounced Madina Shabaz (Baldia) 5-2 to keep top of Group “B” again with 16 points. Match played at Korangi Baloch Stadium Sharafi being organized by Karachi United Football Foundation here on Wednesday evening.
Korangi Baloch dominated the hapless Madina Shabaz from the very start and took early two goals lead. Both the goals scored by striker Aqeel Ahmed in the 11th and 23rd minutes. Madina Shabaz striker Saqib Sattar reduced the margin in 29th minute when a pas received from Naeem Abbas from right flank. At lemon time Korangi Baloch ahead 2-1.
In the second half, the pace of the game increased both sides played well. Abdul Hafeez scored 3rd goal for Korangi Baloch in the beginning of the second half (46’) beautiful pass received from midfielder Abdul Wahid. In the 55th minute a penalty kick awarded to Madina Shabaz by the Referee Mohammad Tahir due to serious foul play against opponent striker Mohammad Asif in the penalty box by Yasir Jr. Akhtar Ali converted penalty kick into goal and made it 2-3. Two minutes later left winger Abdul Jabbar Jr. headed home a Bahadur Ali cross from the right flank. Aqeel Ahmed netted 5th goal of Korangi Baloch and completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute. Aqeel’s 2nd and overall 12th hat-trick in the current event.
Madina Shabaz strikers Mohammad Asif, Saqib Sattar, Yousuf Kaka and Naeem Abbas struggled to reduce the margin but their efforts could not bear fruit. The strikers found themselves in a one to one position many times but failed to score.
The result gives Korangi Baloch 16 points from 8 games and Madina Shabaz remained on 9 points from 7 games.
The match was supervised by referees Mohammad Tahir, Shoukat Ali and Qari Tahir with Abdul Karim as the Match Commissioner.
