KARACHI: KRL extended their lead at the top of the PPFL after they thrashed Baloch FC Nushki 3-1 at the Municipal stadium in Rawalpindi on Saturday, 12 November 2011.
The table toppers now sit comfortably with 54 points as they continue to dazzle in the event as it returned from week long Eid-ul-Azha break.
KRL were rampant in the first period and their frequent moves paid dividend when Asim Mansoor put them ahead on 24 minutes. Their ruthless display continues as they doubled their lead two minutes later thanks to a strike from Abid Khan.
The game was finally put to bed in the early period of second-half, when Mohammad Qasim scored on 55 minutes. However, Baloch FC had something to cheer about, as Sher Dil Khan scored a consolation goal 10 minutes from time.
In another match at the same venue, Army edged-out Muslim FC Chaman 1-0. The game was heading towards a draw but it was sprung to life in the dying moments when Rehman Ali’s solitary strike on 87 minutes earned precious points for Army.
