Police thrash Baloch FC Nushki 3-1

KARACHI: Newly-promoted Police overwhelmed Nushki’s Baloch FC 3-1 in their match of the 8th Pakistan Premier Football League held at the Sadiq Shaheed Stadium in Quetta on Wednesday 26 Oct 2011.

Police, who had started going down after their impressive run before Ramadan, played a much better game against Baloch FC to take their points TALLY to 19 from 20 games. Mohammad Ishaq put Police ahead just after the start of the second half. At this stage, both sides played tough game and it was Baloch FC which brought the parity in the 82nd minute when Gohram’s pile-driver from just outside the area went past the keeper. But their jubilation had not yet subsided when Aimal Khan once again placed Police on front foot with a fine field effort in the 84th minute. Three minutes later, Naseebuallh, a consistent performer for Police, added to the misery of Baloch FC when he capitalised on a combined move.

The loss left Baloch FC trailing at 16 points from 19 meetings.

Today’s fixtures: PAF v Army (Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi), Afghan FC v Muslim FC (Government High School Ground, Chaman).
