Madina Shabaz striker Saleem Kajal’s late goal helped his side share the points with Muslim Star in the second match of the 9th Karachi United Football League 2011-12 held today 25 Oct 2011 at Drigh Road Union Stadium in Shah Faisal, Karachi.
Hidayat Khan gave Muslim Star a 13th minute lead, which Muslim Star thought would prove enough. But just 2 minutes left from final whistle, Madina Shabaz’s Saleem Kajal proved to be a hero as his 25 yard strike beat opposing goalkeeper Noorul Bashar and hit the back of the net to tie the scores.
The goal brought life into Madina Shabaz attacking prowess as M Asif and M Adil tried their best to find a winner for their side with just minutes left on the clock, but could not find the goal that could have sealed an amazing come back win. The game finished all-square 1-1 at the end. Both sides earned 1 point each.
Referees were Javed Bangash, with assistants Shaukat Ali, Babar Khan, and Farrukh Riaz, while Abdul Karim was match commissioner. On Thursday (27 Oct 2011), Al-Shabaz Korangi face Gulshan Soccer at Drigh Road Union Stadium.
