The remaining two quarter-finals of the 6th All-Karachi Saqib Kazmi Memorial Floodlit Football Tournament were played out at Colony Star Ground, North Karachi on 18-19 May 2011. In 3rd quarter-final, Sher Islam FC (Rasheedabad) beat Lali Shaheed FC (Banaras) 3-0 in a one-sided affair, while in 4th quarter-final hosts Colony Star FC beat Babar Sports (New Karachi) 5-0. The winning sides join Manghopir XI and Musa XI in the semi-finals scheduled to be played on 20-21 May 2011.
In 3rd quarter-final, Azhar Saleh gave Sher Islam the lead after 11 minutes which was doubled by Liaquat Khan in 26th minute as Sher Islam led Lali Shaheed 2-0 at half time. Bilawal Khan made it 3-0 in 45th minute as he scored from a powerful strike from 25 yards out, as Sher Islam confirmed their place in the semi-finals. Referees for this game were Muhammad Hanif with Mumtaz Ahmed and Farid Ahmed, while match commissioner was Khalid Majeed.
In 4th quarter-final, hosts Colony Star hammered Babar Sports 5-0 thanks to a Hashmat Ullah hat-trick, the second of the event. Hashmat Ullah gave Colony Star an early lead soon after kick-off which was doubled by Yaqoob Baloch in 30th minute as Colony Star lead 2-0 at half time. Hashmat Ullah completed his hat-trick with further goals in 32nd and 40th minutes while Aziz scored one in 46th minute as Colony Star ran away 5-0 winners in the end. Referees were Babar Khan with Saad Kazmi and Mumtaz Ahmed, while Abdul Karim was match commissioner.
The 1st semi-final between Manghopir XI and Musa XI (Usmanabad) will be played on Friday 20 May 2011 with 9 PM star, while 2nd semi-final will be on Saturday 21 May 2011 at 9 PM between hosts Colony Star and Sher Islam FC.
