Lahore: KRL and PIA thrashed their opponents to enter the last four of 21st National Bank Football Challenge Cup 2011 at two venues of Faisalabad on Thursday.
At PMC Ground, defending champions KRL hammered KPT 6-0 with hat-trick through substitute striker Saad Ullah in the second session within 36 minutes. Saad hammered the ball past young KPT goalie Daniyal in the 54th, 56th and 90th minute. KRL’s first half scorers were Muhammad Zeeshan in 18th min with Syed Hasnain Abbas netting twice in 22nd and 30th minute.
At Bohranwali Ground, the all-airmen clash saw PIA outclassed PAF three-nil with goals from Shakir Lashari 2 (41,87) and Abdul Qadir (89). The match was also attended by former Pakistan hockey legend Manzoor Ul Hassan as chief guest who met both teams at half-time with the organisers.
