Akhtar Mohiuddin to coach PMC Athletico Faisalabad in the National Challenge Cup

Former Pakistan football team Head Coach Akhtar Mohiuddin is set to coach PMC Athletico Faisalabad in the National Football Challenge Cup, set to take place at Faisalabad later this month.

This will be his first assignment since taking charge of the national team in the Asian Games at Guangzhou, China.

PMC Athletico President Saif Bhatti expressed his delight at getting his first choice for the position. He said, ”Akhtar Mohiuddin is one of the best coaches in Pakistan and has a vast experience at the top level. We are delighted to have him and expect him to produce great results during the tournament. This appointment shows the ambition of PMC Athletico Faisalabad, as we strive to become the top football club in Pakistan.”

Hailing from Chaman, Akhtar Mohiuddin has had two stints as head coach of the Pakistan national team in the last four years and is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in Pakistan. He also coaches the impressive Quetta Zohrawar team in the Geo Super Football League.

Akhtar Mohiuddin will join the team in Faisalabad on the 3rd of April and will look to make the PMC team gel together into a unit capable of taking on the big departments in the cup. It is also the first time a club is taking part in the National Football Challenge Cup as PMC Athletico Faisalabad are the host team of the event.
