KARACHI: The Pakistan Olympic football team lost to Samut Pakran United Club of Thailand 0-1 in their second practice game held in Bangkok on Saturday.
In a tough contest, both sides offered good resistance to each other while also geting a handful of goal scoring opportunities.
The hosts, having the assistance of several African professional footballers, struck through a penalty in first-half injury time. Pakistan changed their main goalie Denmark-based Yousuf Butt in the second half after he received cramps.
“It was a good game and I am happy with the way our team is getting momentum with the passage of time,” Pakistan head coach Tariq Lutfi said.
Pakistan had lost to the Thailand Olympic team 1-2 in their first practice show the other day.
Pakistan are scheduled to play two more practice matches against the local clubs on February 15 and 18 respectively.
