Lahore, 6 Feb: Trials to select Punjab U13 Football team for coming 13th National U13 Festival of Football will be held on Monday, 7 February (2 PM) at MTFA Ground, Model Town. Punjab Football Association (PFA)’s President Muhammad Arshad Khan Lodhi has approved Model Town Football Academy (MTFA)’s President and former Pakistan manager Mian Rizwan Ali as Camp Commandant while Faisalabad’s Imdad Awan will be Head of Selection Committee.
Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will stage the event in third week of February and the players, born on or after 1 January 1998, are eligible for the Trial as well as competition. Sahiwal will act as titlist who clinched 12th National U14 Festival of Footballat Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium on 9 March 2010, beating NWFP on tie-breaker.
The 36 districts of Punjab allowed for sending their school-level boys are Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chakwal, Chiniot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khanewal, Khushab, Lahore, Layyah, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Narowal, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh and Vehari. All the players are being asked to report with (i) Birth Certificate (ii) Original School Certificate mentioning Date of Birth (iii) Original NADRA Form-B (iv) three recent attested photographs.
