KARACHI: In a bid to maintain consistency in the performance of the national sides at different age groups Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is looking forward to form a national selection committee in the near future.
Sources in the federation told ‘The News’ that the PFF has almost decided to form a selection committee, which will be given the responsibilities to pick the talented lot for the teams of different age-groups. It was learnt that the national selection committee would be comprised of former international players, who will have the eye for selection and the temperament to serve the federation in the said capacity in befitting manner.
When contacted, the secretary of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Col Ahmad Yar Khan Lodhi confirmed that the federation has this idea in mind, and very soon the federation will have its own selection committee, which would ease the process of forming teams for various international assignments being held under Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and elite world football governing body FIFA.
