The international recognition earned by Pakistan’s “Football for Mental Health Programme” at the United Nations has been hailed as a major milestone for Pakistan’s sporting diplomacy, reinforcing the country’s positive image while strengthening its standing within the global football community.
“Using football as a tool for mental health did not inspire us, it transformed us. We truly believe that as a football federation it is our responsibility to not only produce good players but also to create responsible, healthy citizens.” said PFF president Syed Mohsen Gilani
The event marked Pakistan’s inclusion as one of the pilot countries in the global UNFootball4MentalHealth initiative.
