ISLAMABAD: Smurfs and Vibrant recorded identical 13-0 wins to close the opening weekend of the SHE League at the Jinnah Stadium Futsal Fields on Sunday.
Islamabad City won for the second day running, their 3-0 victory over Football Factory sending them top of the seniors’ standings while Midfield FC also have two wins from two in the juniors competition after they edged Strikers 3-2.
Playing their first game in the seniors’ competition, Smurfs overwhelmed Strikers with skipper Asra Saeed scoring a hat-trick while there were braces for Fatimah Khan, Zainab Shahdin and Hajra.
Islamabad City had goals from Fatima, Alina and Amal in their win over Football Factory.
In the juniors, Sammar starred with five goals and Khadija laid on four assists and scored twice in Vibrant’s big win over Blue Jays.
Haya scored twice and made the third to take Midfield to the top of the table.
