PFF to hold D License coaching courses nationwide

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is expected to announce nationwide D Certificate Coaching License courses for 2026. This marks the first time in several years that the PFF is organizing a coaching course.

In a letter dated 17 March, written by PFF COO Shahid Niaz Khokhar, all affiliated provincial and regional football associations have been requested to send their Expression of Interest (EOI) to host these courses. The deadline for EOI submission by the affiliated FAs is 7 April 2026.

Each provincial FA (Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh) has been allocated four coaching courses for men and one coaching course for women. Regional FAs (Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir) have each been allocated 1 course for men and 1 for women.

PFF has also released eligibility criteria for course participants:

  • Age: 21-35
  • Playing experience with a supporting CV
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Minimum education of Matric / O-Levels
  • Committed to coaching
  • Ability to reach and write in English
  • Computer literate

Required documents for applicants include:

  • Filled out and signed application form
  • 4 x passport sized photographs
  • 2 x colour copies of CNIC
  • Attested copies of educational and coaching certificates
  • Recommendation letter from the President of a registered football club on the club’s official letter head is mandatory

The PFF is expected to appoint the instructors for each course as well as the coaching certificates to be distributed upon completion. Each provincial and regional FA is required to arrange for boarding and lodging, classrooms for theoretical sessions, stationary, course attire, training equipment and a football ground for practical sessions.

Each course is expected to have 30 participants and 3 instructors according to the PFF letter. The 2026 D License course would be the first course conducted under the auspices of the elected PFF body that took charge in mid-2025.
