Anak: Saudi Arabia secured an emphatic 13-0 win in their AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 Group D tie against Pakistan on Monday.
The win sets up a tantalising decider against Iraq on Wednesday with both sides on maximum points as only the group winner is guaranteed an automatic qualifying spot to the Finals.Just as they did in their opening match against Chinese Taipei, Saudi Arabia got off to a fast start with Fahad Muhalhil finding Abdullah Alaqeeli for a simple tap-in in the first minute.
The hosts doubled their advantage seconds later, Eihab Mohamed skipping away from two opponents before poking home past advancing Pakistan custodian Muhammad Tahir.Saudi Arabia struck again in the third minute, Alaqeeli’s pass found Mohamed who squeezed in a shot between Hamza Nusrat and Tahir before Nasser Alharthi sent Abdulilah Alotaibi through to make it 4-0 seconds later.
Pakistan were given no room to breathe as Saudi Arabia hit them with another four goals through Moath Alasiri (5th), Mohamed (7th), Fahad Aljohani (11th) and Muhalhil (14th) to take a commanding lead into the break.Half-time gave Pakistan a chance to regroup and the South Asians were able to keep Saudi Arabia in check in the second half, even managing a scoring opportunity in the 23rd minute but Yousaf Ahmad was denied by the quick reflexes of Humood Aldahhan.
Pakistan’s defensive improvement, however, was undone in the 32nd minute when Farhan Alasmari rifled a shot into the top corner before strikes from Aljohani (34th), Saleh Alqarni (37th), Abdullah Almaghrabi (38th) and Alotaibi (38th) completed the huge win.
In other Group D fixture, Iraq eased past Chinese Taipei 4-0.
