LAHORE: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has announced its first-ever national futsal team tryouts, paving the way for Pakistan’s debut in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026 Qualifiers.

The open trials will be held on August 10, 2025, at the 5th Generation Sports Complex, DHA Phase 8, Lahore, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Aspiring players from across Pakistan are invited to participate, provided they bring valid identification, including a passport and CNIC, to confirm eligibility.

Following the trials, the PFF’s technical team will finalize the squad, which will enter a training camp in early September.

Pakistan has been placed in Group D, alongside Iraq, Chinese Taipei, and host nation Saudi Arabia. The group stage matches will take place in Dammam, with Pakistan’s schedule: Vs Iraq on September 20; Vs Saudi Arabia on September 22; Vs Chinese Taipei on September 24.

“This initiative marks a strategic expansion of PFF’s development agenda, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s presence in the fast-paced indoor variant of football. With futsal gaining traction nationwide, the trials offer a long-awaited platform for players to showcase their skills and represent Pakistan on the continental stage,” stated a PFF official.
