The 2024 Quaid-e-Azam Inter-Provincial Games saw their football finals conclude at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad yesterday, 18 December.
In the women’s final, favourites Islamabad overcame Sindh 2-0. Goals from Amani Khan and Eman Mustafa helped the home side win the football gold.
Balochistan finished with bronze after beating Gilgit-Baltistan in 3rd place game.
In the men’s final, Sindh had to fight hard to beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3-2 after extra-time. Sindh raced to a 2-0 lead before Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fought back to equalize late on.
KPk went down to 10 men after a second yellow card but they searched for a winner. Yet it was Sindh’s Furqan Umar who scored instead to get the gold in extra time.
Punjab got men’s football bronze medal after beating Gilgit-Baltistan in 3rd place game.
