ISLAMABAD: The nomination process for the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Extraordinary Congress meeting has completed, with all the provincial associations having submitted names of participants to the Normalisation Committee (NC).

The News is in possession of the list submitted by the four provinces for the meeting and later for the PFF elections.

These people will participate in the Extraordinary Congress meeting and will also make the Electoral College for the December 9 PFF elections.

“We have submitted the names of participants for the Extraordinary Congress meeting that was convened to remove the hiccup hindering the smooth transition of powers to the elected office bearers,” an official told The News.

“The hurdle is about the activities of contesting officials. Since the NC was calling the shots for almost six years now, there is hardly any member apart from NC officials who stayed active during these years,” he said.

All four provinces have forwarded three names each for the Congress meeting with Islamabad submitting one name. Eight slots are there for departments. These are Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Wapda, Railways, PIA and HEC.

One vote is for the women’s champion team and one for the referees. Three women representatives will be elected on the day of the PFF elections. The women Congress members election will be conducted by the Congress members.

Following are names forwarded.

Balochistan: Jamil Ahmed Sarparh, Abdul Malik and NasarUllah.

KPK: Syed Zahir Ali Shah, Nasrullah Khan and Asghar Khan.

Punjab: Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi, Zakaullah and Raja Muhammad Ishtiaq,

Sindh: Muhammad Azam Khan, Kifayatullah, Muhammad Siddique.

Islamabad: Sheikh Ahmad Rehan

PFRA: Muhammad Shafiq.

As many as 23 members will hold an Extraordinary Congress meeting with NC on November 19 while on Election Day on December 9, three women members will be elected by these Congress members to make a 26-member Electoral College that will vote for PFF office bearers including the President of the federation.
