SSGC lose third straight match [Dawn]

MULTAN: Star-studded Sui Southern Gas Company, one of the pre-season favourites, extended their losing start to a third game after falling to a 2-1 defeat to Pakistan Air Force in the Pakistan Premier Football League on Monday night.

SSGC, with the services of several Pakistan internationals, took a 24th-minute lead at the Qasim Bagh Football Stadium through Mohammad Waheed but PAF levelled through Samad Khan eight minutes later before Mohammad Majid scored what proved to be the winner in first-half stoppage time.

The victory took PAF to six points from three games provisionally moved them to third place behind Muslim FC Chaman and Wapda on goal difference.

Earlier, Sada Bahar scored the only goal in the 14th minute as Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited — who had lost their opening match — condemned Pakistan Navy to a second successive defeat in the league which is being held by the court-elected Pakistan Football Federation led by Ashfaq Hussain Shah who is not recognised by FIFA.

LAHORE – Muslim Club, Chaman beat Karachi United 3-2 in the 13th Pakistan Premier League (PPL) at Qasim Bagh Football Stadium. M Jamil scored first hat-rick for his team Muslim Club.

Two teams fought well and were engaged 1-1 goal at the end of the first half. In the 14th minute of the first half, Aqib Ali scored first goal for Karachi United and M Jamil equalized the match 1-1 in the 38th minute.

The second goal for Karachi United was scored by Amir Mubarak in the 48th minute and just one minute later, M Jamil again equalized the match at 2-2. Jamil scored third goal for Muslim Club in the 78th minute and completed his first hat-trick for Muslim Club.
