Balochistan clubs maintain momentum in PFF League 2020

LAHORE: The 12th PFF League (B-Division) 2020 Club Leg saw two more matches yesterday, 4 October at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

Both Balochistan clubs, Baloch FC Quetta and Young Ittefaq FC (Chaman) registered strong 4-0 wins over their hapless opponents.

In first game, Baloch FC hammered local side and B-Division regulars Wohaib FC 4-0. A brace from Kamran (17′ and 79′) with a goal each from Naseebullah (29′) and Fateh Muhammad (57′) was enough for the Quetta side to get their second successive win of the PFF League Club phase season.

Baloch FC had begun their campaign with a tight 1-0 win over Faisalabad’s Lyallpur FC on 28 September when the PFF League restarted after nearly 6-month long COVID-19 disruption caused all nationwide sporting activities come to a halt.

Later in the day, Young Ittefaq smashed Jeay Lal FC (Thatta) thanks to star striker Sanaullah notching his second consecutive hattrick of the campaign. After scoring thrice against Wohaib FC in a resounding 4-1 on 1 October, Sanaullah (32′, 75′ and 90′) was again the hero. Habib ur Rehman (54′) also scored with a piledriver from outside the box.

Today, Monday Oct 5, Huma FC take on Lyallpur for their second matches of the campaign. Huma would want to maintain their good start following a 5-0 demolition of Jeay Lal on 30 September.
