Navy prevail over Baloch FC in PPFL

Multan, 10 October 2018: The 12th Pakistan Premier Football League 2018 – Multan leg at the Qilla Kohna Qasim Bagh Stadium saw one 10:45pm kick off last night on 9 October.

Pakistan Navy took on Baloch FC Nushki. Navy wanted to keep the pressure on the top end of the table looking for their second win of the PPFL 2018 campaign whilst Baloch FC still searched for an elusive first victory in a sluggish start to the season.

Navy had the majority of possession and chances from the go, and in 20th minute they got their breakthrough. Baloch FC goalkeeper Sher Zaman fumbled a cross which his defence failed to clear allowing Navy’s Saddam Khan to find the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the Sailors.

Navy created more chances and frequently tested Sher Zaman’s resolve for the remaining minutes, forcing saves out of him. Baloch FC’s quest for equaliser remained lost due to missed chances and a lack of pressure on Navy’s defence.

The match finished 1-0 in favour of Navy who now have 7 points from 3 games while Baloch FC remain at the bottom half of the table with only 1 point from 4 games.

PIA’s match with KRL was postponed to a later date.
