LAHORE: The scrutiny of 15 different teams participating in the National Challenge Cup will begins in Karachi on Tuesday.
The National Challenge Cup is being held in Karachi from April 20 to May 10.
The tournament will be the first activity initiated by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) after the end of the suspension imposed on it by FIFA in October 2017. The suspension was lifted by the football’s world governing body last month.
The scrutiny will continue till Wednesday.
The scrutiny of the following teams will be conducted in Karachi:
K-Electric, PIA, National Bank of Pakistan, SNGPL, Karachi Port Trust, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Police, Pakistan Petroleum Limited, PWD, Sindh Government Press, Gwadar Port Authority, SSGC, SNGPL, State Life Insurance and Civil Aviation Authority.
The PFF has named a committee that will carry out the scrutiny work. Members of the scrutiny committee includes Shahzad Anwar (PFF technical director), Rahim Bakhsh Baloch (secretary of the Sindh Football Association), Qamar Ali Qureshi, Zahid Taj, Mohammad Asif and Ghulam Shabbir.
