In a landmark occasion, Leisure Leagues, Trunkwala Family’s initiative to revive football in Pakistan, collaborated with National TB Program in a bid to raise awareness about Tuberculosis, a disease that Pakistan has struggled to control in recent times.
Leisure Leagues organized a friendly football match with the help of National TB Program where celebrities such as talented musician Uzair Jaswal, box office hit movie, Cake’s star Adnan Malik, ex national team vice-captain Kamran Malik, German diplomat Keno Grade, Brazilian diplomat Romulo, Viktor Krum of the Bulgarian embassy, First Secretary Sweden Embassy Fabian Fossum Hylin, ATV anchor, Faizan Sameer Malik, Pakistan national Futsal captain, Mubashir Sanjrani and a host of other stars participated.
The celebrities were divided into two teams, Green and White and displayed their footballing talents in an enticing encounter where the winner was the fight against TB.
Following the match, Chairman World Group, Mr. Mahmood Trunkwala said that Leisure Leagues aims to provide healthy activity to people from all walks of life and intends to realize the dream of a healthy Pakistan.

Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Baseer Achakzai, Deputy National Coordinator and Aids Control Program, commended the involvement of Leisure Leagues and National TB Program for coming together for a great cause.
Cake star, Adnan Malik was the goalkeeper for team Green while Jawaid was in goal for Team White. The match in itself was an amazing spectacle with both teams trying to outsmart one another. The Greens started the game strongly and got the lead through two quick goals from Steven. However, the whites got back into the game through a quick brace from Fabian of the Swedish embassy.
There was more drama to come after Mubashir scored a stunning bicycle kick to give his team the lead. However, that was not the last moment as Faizan Sameer leveled the game for the Greens.
The final score was 3-3 but in the end, the match achieved its purpose which was to raise awareness of TB.
