Lahore: Railways blasted their way into the main round when they defeated Falcon Company 1-0 in their Group III outing of the PFF Cup 2016 qualifiers in Lahore on Wednesday. Mohammad Asim hit the winner in the 70th minute. This was the second successive win for Railways.

In the other Group III game, also played at FAME FC Ground in Model Town Lahore, Saif Textiles registered their first win with a 1-0 win over Insaf Afghan Goods Trading Company (Chaman). Saif Tex captain Usman Ghani Virk scored the only goal of the game 34th minute with a header from a Muhammad Idrees corner.
IAGTC also created chances but poor finishing cost them again. The Chaman team missed a 53rd minute penalty after Fazlur Rehman skied one over the bar following a handball by Saif Tex right back Fazal called by referee Shahid Hussain.
The wins helps Saif Tex to 2nd place with 4 points while IAGTC remain without points after 2 games.
