To encourage the services of Bishop John Joseph (Martyr ) and his memory, All Pakistan Bishop John Joseph Shaheed Christian Football Tournament was conducted on 27th December 2014, at R.A.Bazar Football Ground Lahore – Cantt. Mr. Munier Masih Khokhar and Tariq Masood were organizers. 16 Football teams participated from different cities of Pakistan.
Pastor Imran Fazal, Eternal Life Ministry, Mrs. Venes Alvin, Chairperson, New Life Fellowship, Pastor Chaman Sardar, Pastor Shahzad Saddique, Mr. Saleem Sandhu, Mr. Irfan Francis, General Secretary, Peace & Sports Ambassadors, Mr. Ajmal Tahir, president, Peace Ambassador Society, Mr. Izhaq Manoha, Vice President, Peace Ambassadors Society, Mr. Stephen Kamran, AVP, Manager, Sonari Bank, Mr. Munier Masih Khokhar, organizers, and Mr. Tariq Masood, Tournament Secretary inaugurated All Pakistan Bishop John Joseph Shaheed Christian Football Tournament.
One minute silence was observed regarding Peshaware Incident, before opening ceremony and special prayer were offered for martyrs and their families. On this occasion guests encouraged and appreciated the services of Bishop John Joseph. The purpose of this tournament was to promote the value of Football in Pakistan. Mr. Irfan Francis encouraged the efforts of organizing committee. First match was played between FATA Football Club and Attock Football Club. During matches special prayers were offered for peace, love, harmony, prosperity, for beloved country Pakistan. Final will be played on 31st December 2014 at R.A. Bazar Football Ground Lahore – Cantt.
