KARACHI: Union Council-7 lifted the trophy when they overwhelmed UC-11 2-1 in the final of the K-Electric Lyari Football League here at the People’s Sports Complex the other day.
Saqib Javed put UC-7 ahead in the 12th minute. However, Ghulam Mustafa brought the parity for UC-11 by scoring in the 33rd minute.
At half time, the game was evenly poised at 1-1.
After the breather, UC-7 played nicely and Aamir Ali landed the winner in the 62nd minute to seal a spectacular triumph for his side.
Earlier, in the play-off for the third place, Lyari Town crushed UC-6 7-0 with Muneer Ahmed scoring five goals.
This was the third hat-trick from 15-year-old Muneer, who plays for National Bank of Pakistan in the Premier League
