Khanewal set to get FIFA Training Center and Field

A historic lease agreement has been signed between PFF and Khanewal District Govt. for constructing FIFA Training Center & Football Ground at Khanewal in a graceful signing ceremony held at committee room of District Govt. Complex Khanewal. In this reference Lt.Col. (Retd.) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi General Secretary Pakistan Football Federation representing PFF while DCO Khanewal Mohammad Usman Moazzam standing for District Gvt. Signed the Lease Agreement.
According to the details, FIFA will fully finance Rs. 5 Million for the building of state of art FIFA Training Center and Football Groundat Khanewal under its FIFA Goal Project at the 8 Acres of Land allocated for the project by District Govt. Khanewal on a 30 years Lease to PFF. PFF will also bear the running costs for the maintenance of FIFA Football Center. The project is likely to take-off in 2 to 3 months with a completion target of 1 and half year.
On behalf of Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat President PFF, General Secretary PFF Lt.Col. (Retd.) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi thanked the Punjab Govt. and DCO Khanewal for allotting 8 Acres of precious land located on G.T Road for this historic FIFA Football Training Center.
He informed the audience that this FIFA Football Training Center (Khanewal) is going to be the 8th FIFA Football Training Center, other centers being constructed/completed are located at Sukkur, Jacobabad, Quetta, Abbotabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Lahore. With the completion of all these projects not only the youth of Pakistan will be kept busy in healthy sporting activities but shell help to develop football at much rapid pace.
 DCO Khanewal Mohammad Usman Moazzam said that this promising project will certainly help a lot to produce and groom good football players in the region who will serve Pakistan at later stage.
Member Provincial Assembly Punjab Nishat Ahmed Khan Daha said that this International standard football project is a vital one for the whole of Pakistan in general and for the province of Punjab in particular.
At this occasion Director Member Associations and Projects PFF Lt. Col. Retd. Farasat Ali Shah, MPA Nishat Ahmed Daha, District Sports Officer Nadeem Qaisar and FIFA Referee Mian Abdul Bari were also present.
