The 10th Aman Sports Karachi Football League 2013 saw two thrilling games decided at Korangi Baloch Stadium (Sharafi) on 3 May 2013.
Kalri Star (Lyari) fought back to beat Al-Shabaz (Korangi) 4-3 in a thriller while Azam Sports (Drigh Road) registered their first 3 points of the event with a 3-1 win over FC Rovers (Malir Cantt).
Kalri Star had a horrible start to the game as Amir Dur Muhammad missed a penalty in the 6th minute before Al-Shabaz’s Abdul Rehman (11′) and Muhammad Noor (19′) scored to make it 2-0. Kalri Star fought back whith goals from Zubair Faiz (37′) and M Habib (43′) making it 2-2 by half time. The match took another turn when Muhammad Noor scored his second (67′) to make Al-Shabaz lead 3-2. But a quick brace from Owais Ibrahim (70′, 74′) made Kalri Star fight back to make it 4-3 in their favour.
The result meant Kalri Star now lie on 9 points from 5 games, while Al-Shabaz remain on 3 points from 5 games.
Azam Sports made short work of struggling FC Rovers. Aqeel Khan (39′) made Azam Sports lead 1-0 by half time before Saleemullah made it 2-0 in 64th minute. Rovers’ Waqar Hassan (68′) managed to reduce the deficit to 2-1 but Umair Abdullah’s injury time goal (90+2′) made Azam Sports win 3-1 in the end.
Azam Sports now have 4 points from 3 games while FC Rovers remain on zero after 4 games.
