The Karachi Football League 2011-12 Super League phase saw Baloch Youth (Garden) another draw as they were held 1-1 by Burma Mohammedan (Korangi) at Korangi Baloch Stadium (Sharafi, Karachi) here on Friday evening, 6 April 2012.
Despite the 1-1 draw, the game was entertaining as both sides showed attacking football but unfortunately both the sides netted the ball one time in the entire encounter. Baloch Youth began strongly with their strikers Saramad Jaffer, Mohammad Tahir, Talal Ayub and Rashid Ali looking to give their side the lead, only for poor finishing and impatience denying them to score despite the chances the created Rahid Ali had a chance to score for Baloch Youth in 16th minute when he managed to beat Burma Mohammedan Golie Abdul Ghani but his shot went the wrong side of the post and out.
However, Burma Mohammedan took lead in the 37th minute when Jaffer Ullah netted the ball pass from Saeed ur Rahman. Score 1-0 at half time in favour of Burma.
In 2nd half Burma Mohammedan played much better and created a few chances of their own. Their players Imran Shakoor, Jaffer Ullah, Anees Ahmed and Noor Alam came close for double the lead but Baloch Youth Goal Keeper Bilal Ahmed denied them each time.
Baloch Youth levelled the score in the 55th minute when Rashid Ali netted through a beautiful header from from corner kick taken by Shoaib Qasim.
At the end, a scoreline of 1-1 between the two seemed fair. This was Baloch Youth second successive draw in KFL Super Eight and are now on 5 points from 4 games, while Burma Mohammedan have 5 points from 4 games also.
In the League round both the teams were also scoreless draw on 4th January 2012.
Referees were Yousuf Mansoori, Babar Khan and Latif Baloch and match commissioner Abdul Karim. On Sunday (08.04.2012) Al-Shabaz Korangi face Irfan Memorial Landhi at Korangi Baloch Stadium Sharafi.
