Baloch Mohammadan (Malir) edged past Askani Brothers (Baldia Town) 1-0 in 3rd quarter-final of the Engro Vopak Football League 2012 held at Jam Stadium in Malir, Karachi yesterday 26 March 2012.
Baloch Mohammadan had to thank Karim Bakhsh for scoring the lone goal from a Ahmed Lal cross in 51st minute, after Askani Brothers goalkeeper Javed Ali had kept saving numerous chances.
The goal proved to be enough to see Baloch Mohammadan enter the semi-finals. Referees were Javed Bangash, Babar Khan, Ahmed Mian, Arif Hameed, and match commissioner Abdul Karim.
Baloch Mohammadan player Ata Muhammad was given Rs 500 cash man of the match award on direction of guest M Naeem ‘Momin’.
