The Beaconhouse Inter-Regional (O-Levels Boys) Football Tournament began on 11 January 2012 at Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground in Garden West, Karachi.
A total of 7 Beaconhouse School System (BSS) teams from across Sindh are taking part in this tournament. Karachi region features defending champions BSS Jubilee, Defence, PECHS, North Nazimabad, and Steel Town campuses are taking part, alongside a BSS Hyderabad side.
Opening day exchanges saw BSS Defence beat BSS North Nazimabad 1-0 to qualify for the semi-finals due to an unfortunate own goal from N. Nazimabad defender Areeb from a Muhammad Ibrahim free-kick in 34th minute.
Another game saw BSS PECHS come from behind to beat BSS Steel Town 2-1. Steel Town went 1-0 up thanks to Abdul Ahad’s 18th minute strike. But PECHS equalised through Ali Imran in 35th minute, making it 1-1 at the break. BSS PECHS then went 2-1 up after Afan Siddiqui’s powerful 25-yard strike in 54th minute found the back of the net. BSS PECHS hence completed their come back to qualify for the semi-finals.
Referees were Riaz Ahmed, Habib Ullah, Babar Khan, M Kamran, and match commissioners Abdul Ghani Balich and M Tufail, and tournament coordinator Zulfiqar Ahmed.
The KUFF Karachi United U14 Youth Football League 2011-12 returned with 4 games played on 11 January 2012 across Karachi.
Old Golimar Stadiun saw KUFF Lyari Centre thrash KUFF Old Golimar Centre 6-0 with goals from Muhammad Nauman (2), Abdul Jabbar (2), Muhammad Yasin, and Chetan Sharma.
Baloch Mujahid Stadium (Ibrahim Hyderi) saw Karachi City Football Academy beat KUFF Korangi Centre 2-0 with goals from M Shahid and M Saleem.
The same venue then saw Baloch Mujahid Academy beat KUFF Lyari Centre 2-0 with goals from M Idrees and Riaz Baloch. KUFF Centre North Nazimabad then beat KUFF North Karachi Centre 1-0 thanks to Saad Ullah’s lone goal.
Referees were Habib Ullah, Babar Khan, M Rashid, and M Imran.
On 12 January, 4 more games were played. KUFF North Nazimabad Centre hosted KUFF Old Golimar Centre and recorded a 2-1 win over the visitors. Ubaid Khan and Mehmood scored for North Nazimabad while Old Golimar could only count on a N. Nazimabad own goal as consolation. Jam Stadium (Malir) saw KUFF Malir Centre thrash KUFF Korangi Centre 3-0 with goals from Junair, Arslan, and Rashid.
Baloch Mujahid Stadium (Ibrahim Hyderi) saw hosts Baloch Mujahid Academy thrash Gulshan Soccer Academy 3-0 with goals from Muhammad Idrees, Riaz Baloch, and Ali Baloch. Old Golimar Stadium saw Mushtaq Football Academy (Usmanabad) edge past KUFF Lyari Centre 1-0 thanks to a goal from Naveed.
