FC Rovers (Malir Cantt) recorded a 5-1 win over Mauripur Baloch to bag three valuable points in the 9th UBL Omni Karachi United Football League (KUFL) being organised by Karachi United Football Foundation.
CDGK Stadium hosted a group ‘A’ clash between Runners up of 8th edition 2010 Mauripur Baloch and FC Rovers. Rovers consecutive three win in current event when they easily won the game by a resounding 5-1.
FC Rovers star winger Irfan Junejo scored a superb hat-trick, 2nd hat-rick of Irfan in the current event, he also scored 5 goals against Frontier City on 24th November 2011 which is over all 11th hat-rick of the event so far, as Irfan became the current 2nd top scorer with 9 goals to his name after Rehan Munir (Karachi United FC) with 13 goals.
Irfan Junejo scored in the 3rd, 24th and 61st minutes to complete his hat-rick while Areeb Zaidi netted in he 27th and 54th minutes, as Mauripur Baloch were completely humiliated. They scored an own goal when defender Tahseen Ghaffar can’t clear opponent striker Sameer Samad powerful drive and ball went into net in the 10th minute.
FC Rovers 9 points from 6 games while Mauripur Baloch remained on 8 points with 5 games.
Referee Imam Bakhsh supervised the match while Abdul Malik and Imran Ali assisted him on the line. Abdul Karim was the Match Commisioner.
Korangi Baloch will face Madina Shabaz (Baldia) on 14.12.2011 (Wednesday) at 3:00 pm at Korangi Baloch Stadium Sharafi.
