The All-Karachi Founders of Baloch Mujahid Memorial Football Cup saw the results of two matches at Baloch Mujahid Stadium, Ibrahim Hyderi (Karachi) on Sunday, 2 Oct 2011. Baloch Youth Garden beat Usmanabad Union 4-2 and Hyderi Baloch (Lyari) beat Lucky Men (Landhi) 6-0 to qualify for the next round.
The 2010-11 Karachi Football League champions Baloch Youth FC (Garden) came twice from behind to beat Usmanabad Union 4-2 in a pulsating encounter. Muhammad Arshad gave Union the lead after 12 minutes, but Faiz Muhammad of Baloch Youth equalised in 39th minute from a powerful strike from 25 yards out as the game was 1-1 at half time. Liaquat Ali then utilised on a horrible misunderstanding between Baloch Youth defence and goalkeeper to give Usmanabad Union a 2-1 lead in 42nd minute, but Baloch Youth made it 2-2 in 57th minute when lanky Muhammad Tahir headed in a Sarmad Jaffar cross.
Ali Sabir then gave Baloch Youth a lead for the first time in the game with a goal in 60th minute making it 3-2. Talal Ayub then completed the remarkable turnaround for the KFL champs as he made 4-2 in closing seconds of the game as Baloch Youth Garden went through to the next round at the expense of hapless Usmanabad Union.
In 2nd game of the day, Lyari’s Hyderi Baloch rampaged to the next round with a 6-0 hammering of Lucky Men. M Naeem gave Hyderi the lead after just 2 minutes on the clock, with veteran striker Ejaz Bhutto then scoring a hat-trick (10′, 23′, 36′) to make Hyderi Baloch lead 4-0 by half time. Abid Ali then scored twice in 2nd half (42′ and 49′) to make it 6-0 for Hyderi Baloch as they ran away easy winners at the end over the not-so-lucky Lucky Men.
