PMC Athletico FC for the first time in their PPL history beat the reigning champions WAPDA on the 21st of September this month. After the game we caught up with the PMC Athletico management to get their views on this historic achievement.
The manager Amir Hanif was delighted and said, ”This is the best start we were looking for as our home games begin this round. The team has got new passion and rhythm now. I thank all fans for their support.”
Pakistan football legend and Vice Captain of PMC Athletico, Sarfaraz Rasool, said, ”It was a bit of a shock to us as well as we were without Haroon Yousuf. But now I am sure we have the confidence to face and beat all sides and the players are up for the task.”
Team President Saif Ur Rehman Bhatti expressed his delight and attributed the success to the hard-work the team has done in the practice sessions after Eid time. He said it was a perfect start to the teams home leg in the PPL.
Media Manager, Waheed Nagra said that he and the fans can’t believe the team defeated WAPDA who are defending champions. But he said dreams come true and that these were the most valuable points for the team.
