The National U19 Championship 2011 in Lahore saw the completion of its quarter-final stage today on 19 Sept 2011 at the Model Town FC Ground. The Faisalabad AID-27 team whooped Bannu AID-27 a staggering 6-0 in the 3rd quarter final, while
Faisalabad, coached by former PMC Athletico manager and WAPDA staffer Muhammad Habib, dominated Bannu from the start. Muhammad Bilal was the hero of this quarter-final clash as he scored 4 goals (17′, 46′, 65′, 84′). Zafarullah opened the scoring for Faisalabad after just 3 minutes from kick-off while Ali Adil scored in 59th minute as Faisalabad well and truly established themselves as favourites for another national youth title under Habib’s mastery from the sidelines.
In 4th quarter-final, Balochistan FA had to fight hard to beat Karachi AID-27 2-0. Both goals were scored in 2nd half by Irfan (54′) and Noman (69′) as Balochistan FA joined Faisalabad AID-27, Sindh FA, and Quetta AID-27 to complete semi-final line ups that will be held on 21 Sept 2011 at MTFC Ground in Lahore.
In 1st semi-final Quetta AID-27 clash with Faisalabad AID-27 at 1500 hrs, while Sindh FA face Balochistan FA in 2nd semi-final at 2030 hrs.
